Six Fiji Airways Drua players have made the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians squad for the November 2017 Internationals.

Fiji Airways Flying Fijians head coach John McKee confirmed yesterday the players are Joeli Veitayaki, Mosese Ducivaki, Ratunaisa Navuma, Mosese Voka, Frank Lomani and Alivereti Veitokani.

Also expected to make their debut are Toulouse and Olympian Semi ‘Beast’ Kunatani and New Zealand-based Ropate Rinakama.

“We’re happy to give local players in the Fiji Airways Drua an opportunity to test international level competition,” he said.

“On the back of some good results during the June-July internationals, we must now step up and perform successfully in Europe in November.

“We have a challenging itinerary as Italy will be a tough opposition at home and Ireland who have beaten both world number one and two ranked teams (New Zealand and England) across 2016/17.”

McKee said to be successful they would need players to arrive, assemble and ready to bring their ‘A’ game.

“And to continue to work hard to build on the gains made during the June-July internationals.”

The team will kick-off their campaign with the Reg. 9 Camp in Toulouse, France from October 30 to November 1.
