Yesterday was Sese Cokomata’s lucky day.

She was on her way to the Fiji Sports Council to buy tickets for the Tri Nations clash today when she received a call from Fiji Sun general manager advertising/business development Rachna Lal.

The good news was she had won two tickets to watch the Tri-Nations clash between the Australian Kangaroos, Papua New Guinea Kumuls and the Vodafone Fijian Bati at the ANZ Stadium.

She would be going to watch the game with her husband.

“I saw the promotion in the Fiji Sun newspaper last Sunday and texted in because we really wanted to watch the Tri-Nations,”  Cokomata said.

Usaia Kalivakatoga, 48, said he texted after reading it in the Fiji Sun last Saturday.

“I only read the Fiji Sun nowadays and when I saw the promotion I texted in hoping to be one of the lucky ones,” Kalivakatoga said.

“Since last year I have been planning to watch the Tri-Nations and I am so excited that those plans have been fulfilled as I will go and watch it with my wife.”

Kalivakatoga acknowledged the Fiji Sun for providing him the opportunity to see the Australian Kangaroos for the first time in Fiji.

Ardent Fiji Sun readers Josaia Cama of Veisari and Filipe Salaba of Laucala Bay shared similar sentiments saying they can’t wait to watch the game.

The other winners are Nathaniel Lal, Viliame Banuve, Timoci Rauga, Virendra Singh, Timaima Cagilevu and Josaia Saro.

“The Pacific Tri- Nations texting promotion was a partnership between Fiji Sun and Vodafone. Each ticket was worth $120,” Lal said.

“The response was excellent and we thank our readers for their participation.”

The Tri-Nations will start at 5:30pm today with the game between Fijian Bati and Papua New Guinea Kumuls.
