Marketing coordinator Maawiyaa Begum wishes valued customers a bigger and brighter Diwali.
“We wish that you will all be safe in this festive season and enjoy the Festival of Lights with your loved ones,” Ms Begum said.
Diwali or Deepawali is the Hindu Festival of Lights celebrated every year.
The most popular festival for Hindus, spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance, and hope over despair.
On Diwali night, people dress up in new clothes or their best outfit, light up diyas (lamps and candles) inside and outside their homes, and participate in family prayers to Lakshmi – the goddess of prosperity.
After the prayer, fireworks follow, then a family feast, which includes sweets and an exchange of gifts between family members and close friends. Deepawali also marks one of the major shopping periods in the country.
