Complex Used For Family Fete
A large crowd gathered at the Damodar City car park on Saturday evening to be part of a pre-Diwali celebrations.
The event was organised by businessman Div Damodar where adults and children took part in various activities such as the Rangoli making competition, sweet eating competition and the Garba dance competition.
This is the first pre- Diwali celebration at Damodar City and it was inspired by Mr Damodar who wanted to create an entertainment area for the whole family to take part in.
“We want to make it an event where your happiness is our enjoyment and we want to bring the community together,” he said.
“The idea is to get the family out.”
There were food stalls, performances by local artists and fireworks display as well.
Shalini Devi who came with her family said that it was her first time to part take in such an event and she hoped to see many more similar events like this in the future.
