We’re set for Wardens: Coach

Fireworks are expected from the National Fire Authority (NFA) rugby team when they face Wardens in the inaugural Commander Kean Shield battle at Navosa Police Academy ground tomorrow.
The NFA completed their preparations last night. NFA head coach Akuila Nasi said they’ve prepared well for the battle.
“We’ve been preparing for the last two weeks and tomorrow we will do our captain’s run then we should be ready,” he said.
“This is the first ever battle between the two organisations on the inaugural Corrections Day celebration and hopefully we can take the Shield back to Walu Bay.
“However, we expect a tough challenge from the Wardens keeping in mind that they would not want to easily surrender the Commander Kean Shield but we’re prepared for the battle.”
NFA captain Mesake Tukai said the players are fit and looking forward to the match.
“It’s going to be tough but we’re prepared to face whatever is thrown at us.
We respect Wardens and we look forward to the encounter.”
The match kick-off at 10am.
