Fiji Corrections Service won the first Commander Francis Kean Shield challenge defeating National Fire Authority 15-7 at Nasova yesterday.

The challenge match, played for the first time between Fiji Corrections and National Fire Authority, coincide with the inaugural National Corrections Day yesterday. Wardens dominated the game scoring two tries in the first half to Solomoni Radinirova and Asesela Ratudamu.

Ratudamu scored their third try in the second half.

NFA scored their try through Seru Cakobau which was converted by Viliame Maiono.

It was double celebration for the Wardens rugby side winning the trophy on Fiji Corrections Service Day.

Wardens head coach Sailosi Naiteqe applauded the players.

“I thank the boys for the hard work. This is a special day for Fiji Corrections Service all sacrifice and dedication has finally paid off,” Naiteqe said.

NFA head coach Akuila Nasi congratulated Wardens.

“Congratulations to Wardens for winning the inaugural challenge during their Corrections Day,” Nasi said.
