The Public Service Commission has passed a resolution to suspend the Permanent Secretary for Forests, Mr. Samuela Lagataki, pending the outcome of an ongoing investigation by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption.
The suspension of Mr. Lagataki will take effect immediately. The Permanent Secretary for Forests position will be taken up in an acting capacity by the Permanent Secretary for Civil Service, Ms. Bernadette Welch.
