The Fiji Airways Drua team are still in contention to make the semifinals of the Australian National Rugby Championship.

Despite going down 24-17 to Queensland Country in Lautoka yesterday, the team are third on the points table and the John Stewart captained-side need to beat Sydney Rays this Saturday in Suva.

Here’s we rate our players

  1. Joeli Veitayaki – Hardworking, good performance – 6
  2. Ratunaisa Navuma – Withstood pressure early, learning experience-5.5
  3. Mosese Ducivaki – Making formidable trio upfront, good game – 5.
  4. Mataiasi Ucutabua – Sin-binned for repeated offence but general play outstanding –6
  5. Filimoni Seru – Another good game from the untiring lock –6.5
  6. Samuela Saqiwa – Contested well against the experienced Angus Scott-Young, Liam Wright and James Slipper – 7
  7. Mosese Voka – Always put in 100 per cent- 7
  8. Peni Raidre – Good pack leader but needs the full backing of the forwards – 6
  9. Frank Lomani – Another sound performance –6.

10 – Alivereti Veitokani – Created a lot of opportunities – 6.5

11 – Kitione Taliga – With his sevens rugby experience, Taliga needs more 15s game to shine- 6.

12, 13, 14, 15 – Avete Daveta, John Stewart (captain), Eroni Sau and Apisalome Waqatabu are the most lethal combination rugby fans have come to witness after a long time. -7
