Singh Keeps Option Open On Parties To Join For 2018

Former People’s Democratic Party general secretary Aman Ravindra-Singh said he has been approached by three political parties to join them for the 2018 general election.
But he would not disclose the parties.
Mr Singh, a lawyer, was a guest of the Fiji Labour Party at a forum held at the Tanoa Waterfront in Lautoka last night to speak on human rights.
The forum was jointly held by FLP, PDP, National Federation Party, SODELPA and Unity Fiji Party.
Mr Singh said he could not disclose which three parties had approached him but he would be making a decision on where he would go soon.
“I do not want to speculate.
“I will come up with a decision by November or maybe before.
“I have left PDP where I had resigned so today is just an invitation from Fiji Labour Party to talk on Human Rights.
“I think the speculation is just because I’m appearing on behalf of FLP today.
“But who knows maybe I will just want to continue what I’m doing a lot about in terms of human rights and democracy.
“There has been a lot of talk going on but I haven’t seen anything from a human rights perspective.
“That’s why I am here to talk on the issue,” he said
