Former Nadi resident Ranjeev Tikaram has joined five-star hotel, The St. Regis Singapore as its new director of finance.

Mr Tikaram brings along a wealth of experience and expertise to his new position with close to 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry.

Prior to his appointment he was the acting general manager of Great Wall Sheraton Hotel in Beijing.

His earlier roles spanned over several properties under Sheraton Hotels and Resorts in Asia-Pacific and Four Points by Sheraton Geelon where he was pivotal in implementing changes to allow for cost efficiencies within the organisation.

Mr Tikaram also garnered the title of ‘Finance Hotelier of the Year’ by China Hotelier Awards in 2014.

In his career Mr Tikaram had successfully resolved outstanding payment issues and implemented new policies to increase work efficiency.

Back in 2002 while based at Sheraton Resort & Spa in Nadi, Mr Tikaram won the Young Achiever – Fiji Excellence in Tourism Award.

He is the son of local sports icon, Bobby Tikaram and has continued to explore himself in the international tourism circle.
