Qalowasa Calls On Fire Victims To Be Patient With Peoples Community Network

The director of Peoples Community Network (PCN) of Fiji, Semiti Qalowasa has called on the five families to be given PCN flats to be patient with them.
He said these families were using other sources to push them for their flats but their carpenters were still working on the flats at Lagilagi, Samabula.
Mr Qalowasa said they could not just complete the five flats for the five families whose houses were destroyed by fire last week at the Nabua informal settlement.
He said they were still working on the sewer line, water and electricity.
“We have to complete the whole flats and not only five,” he said.
Meanwhile the four families to be given flats by the Public Rental Board (PRB) were handed their keys yesterday.
The fire victims’ spokesperson Asha Bibi yesterday confirmed this and said the four families would move into their new flats.
PRB acting general manager Pat Veu had earlier confirmed of the four vacant flats. He said two were in Raiwai and two in Newtown.
