Commissioner of Police Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho yesterday encouraged the 30-member Fiji Police Band to deliver their best performance in Bonn, Germany.

“Whether it is a traditional performance, musical – Sigidrigi or marching band, it must be of the highest standard especially when we are showcasing Fiji to a very wide section of the world through COP23,” he said.

Brigadier-General Qiliho was addressing the group yesterday at the Fiji Police Band Hall in Nasova in Suva. The group will leave tomorrow for the United Nations Climate Change COP23 conference where they will be busy performing in and around the venue of the conference.

Brigadier-General Qiliho told the officers the importantance of the COP23 conference was with the lead role of Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama as the President of the meeting. He stressed the group should ensure that their families were well looked after in their absence.

One of the longest serving officers, Sergeant Viliame Tokalauvere said: “We are ready to showcase Fiji in its most unique form,” Sergeant Tokalauvere said.
