A 32-year-old man pleaded guilty in the Suva High Court yesterday after he admitted to murdering 46-year-old fisherman Jay Prasad early this year.
Waisea Motonivalu appeared before Judge Justice Thushara Rajasinghe yesterday with another accused Eroni Raivani.
A bench warrant was issued for a third accused Niko Baleiwairiki after he failed to appear in Court yesterday.
It is alleged that the trio murdered Mr Prasad on January 1 at Lokia in Rewa.
They had assaulted the deceased before stealing his 15hp outboard engine.
Motonivalu told Justice Rajasinghe that he had given his plea on his own free will.
He said he understood the consequences of his guilty plea. The case was adjourned to November 23.
