Bilateral Talks: Australian Defence Minister Arrives

Australian Minister for Defence, Senator Marise Payne arrived into the country last night and was met by Ratu Inoke Kubuabola before being accorded an iTaukei traditional welcoming ceremony.
Minister for Defence, Ratu Inoke said he would be having bilateral talks with Senator Payne this morning at the Sheraton Fiji Resort.
“We will then proceed to the Black Rock Camp at Votualevu where she will inspect the facilities,” Ratu Inoke said.
“The visit to Black Rock would include discussions on Australia’s assistance regarding the Votualevu camp,” he said.
Meanwhile, the bilateral talks would focus on defence issues between the two countries.
