PNG Recruiters Should Liaise With High Commission: Ratu Inoke
Minister for Defence and National Security Ratu Inoke Kubuabola yesterday urged the Papua New Guinea recruitment agency trying to hire security officers from Fiji to liaise with the Fiji High Commissioner in Port Moresby, Esala Teleni.
“I suggest that the company hiring the 42 officers, works through Ambassador Teleni’s High Commission office in Port Moresby before making other moves regarding going to Manus Islands,” he said.
But the agency, Paladin Solutions Fiji recruitment agent Sireli Tamanitoakula yesterday said the agency was already liasing with PNG High Commission officer Vilikesa Mataitini.
Yesterday Mr Tamanitoakula briefed the security officers on the latest with their working visas being processed in PNG.
Mr Tamanitoakula said they would leave as soon as the visas arrived.
