VODAFONE TO INVESTIGATE LAUTOKA OUTLET MISHAP

Shoppers and the general public were yesterday taken aback as the ceiling of a Vodafone Fiji outlet caved in damaging its inventory at TappooCity Lautoka.
Tappoo Group executive director Mahendra Tappoo said it was a Vodafone matter: “The incident is believed to have happened as Vodafone had some contractors working in their office.”
Vodafone Fiji Head of E-Commerce and Corporate Affairs Shailendra Prasad said they would investigate the incident. No one was hurt, he confirmed.
Mr Prasad said they would divert services from this outlet to the one on Vitogo Parade.
“We will be servicing from our shop on Vitogo Parade for our customers,” Mr Prasad said.
“We had hired reputable contractors to carry out the shop fit out works but the incident was an accident.
“We will investigate the cause of the accident and comment later on the amount of damages caused.”
