Sunshine win special games

Sunshine Special School from Lautoka won the 2017 Fiji Special and Inclusive Education National Games yesterday.
The school won 34 gold, 22 silver and 11 bronze medals after the three- day meet at Lautoka’s Churchill Park.
Hilton Special School came second with 31 gold, 19 silver and 5 bronze medals.
Gospel School for the Blind came third with 22 gold, 10 silver and 10 bronze medals.
Chief guest and Minister for Local Government, Housing, Environment, Infrastructure and Transport Parveen Bala told the organising committee that they could use the Churchill Park grounds free of charge if they were planning to have any other events in future.
He said the National Games for People with Disabilities has produced a lot of national representative to the Paralympics, Special Olympics and Deaf Olympics.
Bala encouraged the participants by saying that Fiji was proud of them because they are special to the country.
