The Seaside Boxing Club brothers Junior Mukesh Chand and Junior Freddy Chand plan to do their family proud during the Kiran Boxing Promotions at Tilak High School in Lautoka on Saturday.

15-year old Junior, who is named after his father and trainer, will feature in the exhibition bout over three rounds against Junior Binnu Singh in the bantamweight contest.

Mukesh, 17, will take on Jnr Wahid Khan in the supporting bout over four rounds in the lightweight division.

Chand Snr is proud of his sons for keeping boxing alive in the family.

“They are always interested I’m did not push them to take up the sport,” he said.

Weigh in time begins at 1pm at Kiran’s Palace in Lautoka. The gates will be opening at 4.30pm and fights are set to begin at 5.30pm.
