Set within an exceptional 27 acre estate is Yadua Bay Resort and Villas, a modern and unique property that has begun taking shape.

Located in Malaqereqere, near Sigatoka, the unique property will give local and international investors an opportunity to own a piece of paradise that they can call their own.

The construction work had begun last year. The Hexagon Group of Hotels has now contracted with an internationally recognised construction firm from Indonesia to build its villas at the resort.

Audie Pacific Engineering, a subsidiary company of PT. Audie Building Industries, will start off by building eight out of the 80 villas at the resort.

This will be done within eight months.

Hexagon Group of Hotels chairman Hafiz Khan said, the construction of the hotel will finish by next January while the entire resort is expected to open by April next year.

There are 20 rooms that will be provided at the hotel.

“The concepts that Audie has designed and developed are very unique.

“PT. Audie Building Industry is a fairly well established company and they have done developments around the world,” said Mr Khan.

The firm has developed specific package designs for single two bedroom villas and duplex two bedroom villas.

He added that some of the villas are presold and because of the high demand for the piece of paradise, buyers have also purchased lots at the resort which will be designed by Audie Pacific.

The structure of the property can either be a single or double storey building.

Aside from constructing the villas, Audie Pacific will also work on the resort’s sewage plant and swimming pool.

“We are also in the process of developing a very large swimming pool.

“[It will be] the largest in the Coral Coast, which will start in December,” said Mr Khan.

The infinity pool will also include a water slide and kids area.

“The market value of the property is close to $6 million.

“There are 80 individual lots of which some have been bought by individual buyers,” said Mr Khan.

A two bedroom villa with a lounge which is built on a 600sqm lot will be sold for $675 000 and the owner of the villa will have two sets of keys for each two bedroom which can be rented out.

Mr Hafiz said this is a good business model especially for those who are seeking accommodation during the holidays or for business trips.

Some of the villas are designed to also have their own swimming pools.

So far, 25 villas had been sold and the Group plans to build around eight town houses that will overlook the sea.

PT. Audie Building Industry managing director Ozie Moechlis said, “The signing between Hexagon Group and Audie Pacific Engineering … is another important step of Audie Pacific’s endeavors in Fiji’s construction industry since it was established and registered as a Fiji based company in 2017.”

Mr Moechlis explained that the company will use their own imported products and materials for constructing the villas as it gives them more control over the quality and quantity of materials needed.

The AUDIEPanels, that will be used by the company, are not only known for their lightweight, durability and high quality but also the way they have changed the conventional way of how walls are constructed in the building industry.

According to Mr Moechlis, the panels are soundproof, waterproof and fireproof.

It has been rigidly tested to be cyclone five resistant and weighs 1.2 tons.

He added that their methods has also been certified by a local engineer.

Through Audie Pacific’s concept, buildings will be built 60 per cent faster than the conventional construction method.

Mr Moechlis said a two bedroom house that is usually built within six months can be built in one month, using their methods.

All furniture and building materials will be manufactured in Indonesia.

The resort will employ around 40 people once it opens for operations.
