Eknash’s award pleases mum

A proud mum who watched her son, Eknash Mudaliar, receive his graduation certificate yesterday at the Labasa Sangam Kindergarten graduation was very proud of his achievement.
“We are very proud of Eknash’s achievement today,” said Ashwin Mudaliar who was wishing his dad could have been there with them. The 60 kindergarten graduates performed dance items, songs and skits which moved most parents during the ceremony.
“His father couldn’t be here today because he is a school teacher at Lekutu Secondary School but he is happy that our son is graduating today, moving on to a new grade next year,” Ms Mudaliar said.
“I give all the credit to the grandmother because she’s the one that drops off and picks up our son as we are working parents.”
Eknash Mudaliar said he could not wait to start school again next year.
“I am so excited that I have completed kindergarten and will start Year One next year,” he said.
“I couldn’t have completed kindergarten without the support of my parents and grandmother.
“I cannot also wait to complete my studies to achieve my goal and that is for me to become a doctor.”
