Fiji Airways Flying Fijians told to  be physical, accurate and disciplined

The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians will need to go to war to match the physical Irishmen at Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Sunday.

Coach John McKee described Ireland a complete outfit mentored by one of the top rugby coaches in the world in fellow Kiwi Joe Schmidt.

Under Schmidt, the Irishmen continue to be the rugby nation on the rise after defeating the All Blacks 40-29 for the first time in Chicago in 2016.

Last weekend, they again made a telling statement making a Springboks easybeats in a clinical show cruising to a 38-3 win.

“Ireland’s a very good team from 1 to 23,”McKee said.

“They will use high kicks to put us under pressure and play in our half.

“They have a very good defensive structure so we will have to work very hard to create scoring opportunities.

“We must retain possession and play multi phase rugby if necessary to break down their defence.”

After the 19-10 loss to Italy over the weekend, McKee is working hard to turn things around and get cohesion back in the team.

“We need to be more disciplined and reduce our penalty count.

“We need to be more physical and accurate around the ruck zone so we can win quick balls.

“Team cohesion is very important and it was evident it not there last week.

“But with one game behind us and one extra week of training, I should have a much better side to face the Irish.”

McKee is grateful that 2011RWC captain Dominiko Waqaniburotu has joined the team in Killney in the south of Dublin.

“Dominiko has joined us in Dublin and he has fully recovered,”McKee said.

“I will watch him in training and test his fitness before deciding whether to include him in the test team this week or not.

“Some players are on light training but expect all to be available for selection.

“We had a big physical days training on Tuesday, light session on Wednesday and our final prep will be on Thursday.”

He said Semi Kunatani and Frank Lomani played well on their debut against Italy last weekend.

“Both had good debuts but need to work on core elements of their games,”McKee said.

Lomani was replaced in the second half while Kunatani played throughout.
