Every cent will go a long way said Fiji Cancer Society Communications co-ordinator Kali Turagaiviu while receiving the $10,000 cheque from Bank South Pacific (BSP) in Suva last week.
BSP Life managing director Malakai Naiyaga handed the cheque.
Mr Turagaiviu said: “On behalf of the trustees, our board members as well as our CEO, our staff, volunteers, all our patients, survivors and their families we would like to extend our heartfelt generous gestures.
“Every penny will be for every human being who is going through this journey affected by this terrible disease that has affected us for generations.”
During the handing over Mr Naiyaga said: “I congratulate Fiji Cancer Society on their hard work and professionalism in staying the course to bring about awareness and support of cancer patients. We hope that our donation will in a small way to help them fund their various programmes.”
