Gold Win For Dad, Says Logavatu

Veiuto Primary School Under-11 sprinter Adi Ana Logavatu dedicated her first ever gold-medal to her father Colonel Ro Jone Kalouniwai.
Logavatu clocked 10.84seconds in the 75 metres dash, much to the delight of her proud mother Folaukitoga who was cheering near the finish line.
“We want to dedicate the win today to her father who is in Hawaii,” she said.
“He has been supporting her throughout her training, waking up early in the morning for training, fasting and praying for Ana during her preparation.”
She said this was a huge achievement for her daughter winning her first gold medal during her maiden FMF Chow Games.
“I think because of the support she received from her father especially not only during training but in prayers as well is what got her through.”
She thanked God for Ana’s achievements and also her coaches, teachers, peers and family for their support all through her daughter’s preparations for the FMF Chow Games.
“We just want to thank the Lord for her achievement and we want to give the glory and honour back to him.”
Ana helped her quartet in winning the heats for the U11 4x100m relay and will also be featuring in today’s finals. Edited by Osea Bola
