Vodafone has revamped its brand in a bid to encourage people to think more optimistically about the future.

Vodafone Fiji launched the new brand ‘The future is exciting. Ready?’ at its head office in Tamavua yesterday.

The slogan, which replaces “Power to You”, in use since 2009, is aimed to refresh the group’s identity in an industry that has evolved significantly.

Vodafone’s chief marketing officer Rajnesh Prasad said during the launch: “Vodafone has gone from strength to strength and has expanded rapidly in all areas. In its 23 years of operation in Fiji, Vodafone has established itself as a household brand in our Fijian people.

“The Vodafone logo is quite symbolic and even kids as young as three to four years old are able to recall the Vodafone brand and logo. This is how strong our brand is in Fiji,” he added.

Mr Prasad said that they were aligning to what was happening globally to Vodafone brand, they expect to have more changes in the future, as they move forward after brand overhaul.

“We have introduced the e-Ticketing, the Vodafone 5G trials have begun and lot more exciting things that are going to happen in the mobile space,” he said.

“Whilst mobile technology has changed rapidly over the years, we as a brand have also changed to remain relevant to the market.”

He added that success of Vodafone was attributed to the dynamic nature of their business and how they continued to evolve to suit the changing needs of Fijians.

Mr Prasad while elaborating on the brand transition said the introduction of smart phones and evolution of technology from 2G to 3G to 4G, 4G+ and the change to the slogan “Power to You” were very relevant to ensuring that we empowered our people to have access to information and entertainment at the power of their fingertips.

“Customers will slowly adapt to the change that we are putting in place, they will see the benefit and the relevance of the new brand we have announced in the market,” he said.

Vodafone also introduced its latest marketing campaign reflecting its new brand.

The company launched an exciting Christmas promotion with the new brand where customers get to win over $200,000 in cash and prizes this Christmas.

“We have been putting out exciting promotions in the market and this Christmas will be no different.

“We are doing a lot for our customers to ensure they are able to enjoy and have a wonderful Christmas.”

Christmas at the Park will be held on December 7 at My Suva Park.
