Big Bula Lions Triumph

Big Bula Lions dominated the RES Fiji Masters Monthly Round Robin by defeating Double Tree during the final by 32-12 at Mt Saint Mary’s ground, Nadi yesterday.
Big Bula Lions with former national sevens winger Asiveni Lutumailagi scored two converted tries to secure their lead during the first half. After the breather Emosi Qalomai, Iliesa Fono and Samu Naqoto ran in tries to seal the win.
Double Tree tries came from Ilai Deranalagi and Inoke Tuvu.
Event organiser and Big Bula manager Seremaia Druaiono said the response they got from the teams has been good and preparation towards the next monthly tournament has been on track.
“We are happy that when we sent out invitation the response we receive from the teams has been good,” he said.
“Having the six teams here shows that players are still taking interest in the sport that many Fijians love. “We have another tournament this coming January and we are thankful to the sponsors for giving a generous amount for the teams.”
Druaiono added that they are also gearing up for the Masters tournament that is to be held next October.
In the semifinal Big Bula Lions walloped Water Authority of Fiji 25-0 while Double Tree beat Airport Legends 10-0.
