Driver Loses Control, Hits Fence

A driver escaped injuries when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a residential fence early yesterday morning.
The incident occurred around 8.30am when the driver was driving towards Rewa Street, when he hit the fence.
The resident, Anthony Singh, 57, who has been living in the house for the last two months, stated that it seemed like the driver was over speeding and lost control of the vehicle and hit the fence.
“I was outside when I saw the vehicle approaching and drove onto the footpath and collided with the side fence. Due to the impact of the accident, the fence was partially damaged.
“I called the police and the landlord right away. When the landlord came, he informed the driver of the vehicle that the cost of repair of the fence would be around $8,000 as it was newly built,” Mr Singh said.
The police are currently investigating the matter to find the cause of the accident.
