Diligent Car Promo Entrant Gets His Wish
This Christmas Lorima Waqavou Rokotuibau will be driving his brand new red Chevrolet Sonic car worth $39,000.
The 23-year-old won the vehicle after he took part in Fiji Sun’s Win a Chevrolet Sonic Car Promotion.
He started entering the competition from the first day when the promotion was announced in July. He continued until the final date. His diligence paid dividends.
The man from Burerua in Tailevu said his wife was very excited.
“My wife has been constantly contacting me to get an update. She is very eager to see the car,” the electrician said yesterday during the official handover at Courts Nakasi.
“This is the first time I am winning something.”
“The first time they called to inform me that I was the winner I thought it was a prank. Now everything is real. Vinaka Fiji Sun.”
Meanwhile, Shayal Gosai of Sabeto, Nadi won the third consolation prize, a 7kg Hisense Auto Washer machine.
“Winning the prize is exciting. I only applied two times.”
There were 45,000 entries altogether.
