Three women entrepreneurs will be attending the eighth annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in Hyderabad, India next week.

The Summit scheduled for November 28 to 30 is a collaboration between United States of America and the Republic of India.

The U.S. Embassy Suva nominated Director Cover Story Limited and Mai Life magazine Publisher  Naziah Ali, Value City managing director Vera Chute and Director Vou Dance Company Sachiko Soro.

The Embassy is pleased to support three women entrepreneurs to participate at the GES 2017 to share their experiences and ideas with entrepreneurs from around the world.

This year’s Summit will highlight the theme Women First, Prosperity for All and will focus on supporting women entrepreneurs and fostering economic growth globally.

President Donald J. Trump announced the Summit during the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the White House on June 26, 2017.

Advisor to the President, Ivanka Trump, will lead the U.S. contingent to #GES2017 and will highlight the theme.

The 1,500 participants including nearly 300 investors and ecosystem supporters will catalyze investment and networking at the Summit.

Women will represent 52.5 per cent of entrepreneurs, investors and ecosystem supporters at GES 2017.

This is the first time women have been the majority of participants at a GES.

Through two and a half days of networking, mentoring, and workshops, GES empowers entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas, build partnerships, secure funding, innovate, and find their target customers — creating new goods and services that will transform societies.
