Hardwork, Dedication, Pays – Off For Nadogo dux

Six hours of daily revision, seven days a week enabled Kavitesh Chand, the headboy of Nadogo Central College to scoop the dux award on Tuesday.
The 18-year-old lad of Boca, Wainikoro in the province of Macuata during the annual awards day said he was astonished to grab this award because of stiff competition among Year 13 students.
The youngest of four siblings’ scored 96 in Mathematics, 83 in English, 97 in Accounting, 77 in Economics and 99 in Computing.
He scored 452 out of 500.
“I believe in working hard and making the best of every opportunity,” Kavitesh said.
“Every day after school I will always help my mother, Arun Lata in her house chores and then help father, Ramesh Chand gather livestock.
By 6:30pm I would start my revision.”
“Life hasn’t been easy for me as my parents, working as sugarcane labourers, struggle to help me in my education,” the aspiring accountant said.
“I dedicate this dux award, leadership award, principal award, outstanding award and first prize award to my parents.
To all the teachers of the school I would like to say thank you for sharing your knowledge.
For without you there can’t be any school or students in class.”
“To the students who didn’t get any prize, do not be disheartened because there is always a second chance,” he said.
“And when you get a chance to grab an award, make sure to give it all your heart, mind and soul.”
