PM’s Office Hands Over Chairs And Desks To Tailevu North College

The Commissioner Central Setareki Tale on Wednesday handed over 200 desks and chairs to the Tailevu North College from the Prime Minister’s Office.
He was the chief guest at the schools prize giving ceremony.
In handing over the chairs and desks that cost over $26,000, he reminded the students, teachers and parents that their Government was committed to ensuring that every child received decent education.
“This is part of our Prime Minister’s vision for Fiji to become a smarter society,” he said.
“The children now enjoy free transportation, text books; tuition fees and the list go on.”
He said the new furniture would enhance the learning environment at the school and this hopefully would support the schools’ efforts to improve its academic achievements in the next academic years.
School teacher Sunil Chand said they would use the furniture next year and they were thankful to Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.
