Unplanned Power Outages Affects Power Supply , Pole Accident At Navua Town

 

There was an unplanned power outage at 3:12am this morning, Saturday 25th November, 2017 which caused a power disruption to our valued customers in the Navua town area. A three (3) tonne carrier collided with a FEA power pole in Navua town at 3:00am this morning causing unplanned outages to the entire Navua area from Waidradra to Navua Hospital, including Vakabalea, Viwawa, Tokotoko, Wainidrova, Naitata and the entire Navua Town area.

FEA teams isolated the affected area and restored power supply to the healthy part of the network at 5:33am.

Repair work on the damaged pole is in progress and is expected to be completed by late this evening. In the meantime customers in the following areas will be without supply until the completion of repair works:

Whole of Navua Town, Namosi Provincial House, Navua Hotel, Ben’s Trading, Praveen Grog Shop, Navua Post Office, Navua Police Station, Ram Nand Subdivision, Naitata area, Pacific Prawn and Wainidrova.

FEA requests drivers to exercise caution while driving to avoid causing damages to FEA assets resulting in power outages.

The FEA sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused to all our valued customers due to this unplanned power outage which was beyond our control.
