Getting the big Christmas tree for her family is on Atelina Waqa’s Christmas shopping list this year.

Caubati, Nasinu resident, Ms Waqa, will be travelling to Nakasaleka in Kadavu to celebrate Christmas with her relatives.

For  the 22-year-old , the best part of Christmas shopping is getting the right Christmas tree and decorations.

“I always look forward to the Christmas tree and decorations and placing them in the house with boxes of gifts around it, she said.

“Travelling to Kadavu and celebrating Christmas with all my relatives is something I am looking forward to”, said an excited Ms Waqa.

While shopping for those special Christmas gifts for all her relatives, Ms Waqa spent half a day at Courts Mega Store in Samabula at the weekend.

“Choosing that special gift is always hard, especially if you’re buying for the young and old,” says Ms Waqa.

The excitement of having families coming from the West and New Zealand and travelling together to Kadavu for Christmas was evident.
