Crusaders wing Manasa Mataele wants to play for the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians in future.

But if he is called up to join the All Blacks, he will definitely take it.

“Whichever comes first, I will take the first opportunity as it comes,” Mataele said.

The Vanuavatu, Lau native made his intentions clear during his 21st birthday party celebration at the Studio 6 in Suva last night.

“I have another two years with the Crusaders and I would really like to play international rugby. I will take whichever comes first. All Blacks or Flying Fijians.”

His birthday party was celebrated by 250 of his family members and friends.

“I am glad to be here really experiencing a lot of emotions.

“I am very happy celebrating my birthday with my family and friends.

“It is always an emotional feeling to be among family and friends, and I am just glad to be home.”

Mataele has maternal links to Yasawa-i-rara, Yasawa.

He featured three times for the Crusaders during the 2017 Super Rugby season, scoring four tries.
