Shrimad Rajchandraji Portrait Unveiled At Indian High Commission Building

A portrait of Shrimad Rajchandraji, is now positioned at the entrance of the Indian High Commission office at the Life Insurance Corporation of India building in Suva.
The unveiling of the renowned Indian poet, philosopher, scholar and reformer yesterday was significant because he together with Mahatma Ghandi laid the foundation of India’s independence.
The unveiling coincides with the 70 years of freedom on August 15, 2017, as well as ‘Namaste Pacifika’- A festival of India in Fiji and in other Pacific Islands countries Cook Islands, Kiribati, Nauru, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.
Assistant Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Veena Bhatnagar said: “It is not any portrait, it is not just a portrait but the epitome, the personification, the embodiment of absolute knowledge and divinity.”
