Three senior military officers attend courses at overseas military colleges

Colonel Seruiratu will go to the Australian Defence College, said to be a highly ranked college

Three senior officers of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces and its Navy are currently attending a programme at military colleges in India, Australia and Malaysia.

Military chief staff officer co-ordination, Captain Eroni Duaibe said Colonel Litea Seruiratu is at the Australian Defence College (ADC). Colonel Sapenafa Motufaga is at the National Defence College in India and Captain (Navy) John Fox is at the Malaysian Armed Forces Defence College.

Captain Duaibe said Colonel Motufaga and Captain Fox would return before the year ended.

Colonel Seruiratu, he said, left the country three weeks ago.

She had started her orientation at the Defence International Training Centre (DITC) in Melbourne and would end in December.

From there, Colonel Seruiratu will move to the Australian Defence College in Canberra in January.

The college according to Captain Duaibe is the highest military college in Australia.

The Australian Defence College (ADC) comprises three tri-service educational organisations operated by the Australian Defence Force in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory:

the Centre for Defence and Strategic Studies (CDSS),

the Australian Command and Staff College (ACSC) (both located at Weston Creek), and

the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA)
