Commissioner Northern Jovesa Vocea explained why the construction of the $30 million sporting complex in Seaqaqa is currently on hold.
Mr Vocea said the sporting complex would await the development of the area into the boundary of a town.
“The complex location needed to be planned and incorporated into the new town plans for Seaqaqa.” Mr Vocea said.
“The town plans are yet to be made. Once it is confirmed then the authorities would identify a suitable sports complex.”
In an earlier interview with the Minister for Local Government, Housing, Environment, Infrastructure and Transport Parveen Bala said the scheme plan for Seaqaqa town had been approved.
