“Also I just i want to thank my grandmother Ani Shing who is here as well, and supporting me and the team.”

Shing on the hand was filled with emotions after witnessing her grandaughter winning three bronze medals for Fiji.

“I am really proud of her, to see how far she has come in her training and winning medals in the Pacific Mini Games is just a great thing to see,” she said.

She had invited the whole Team Fiji weightlifting contingent to her residence in Port Vila, for a barbecue after their competition.
