Team Fiji football men’s coach Christophe Gamel plans to make changes in his team after they drew 0-0 with Solomon Islands last night.

The second pool game of the Pacific Mini Games was played at the Korman Sporting Complex, Port Vila, Vanuatu.

“It was a very interesting game and both teams had their chances to score,”Gamel said.

“But we applied a defensive plan and blocked them a bit.”

He said that had to be done given the caliber of players in the Solomon Islands team.

He said they were vulnerable in midfield.

“There were some good moves but there was no co-ordination between the players.”

He said they would be working on that area during their preparation before they face Vanuatu on Saturday.

“I know I have to start changing some players because they seem to be a bit tired. So I have to get players on the bench to carry on from where the others left off. It is not a gift but soccer is like that,” Gamel said. Edited by Osea Bola
