Team Fiji men’s beach volleyball coach Todd Edwards finds no words to describe the double Commonwealth Games qualifier wins in the men and women’s category.

“Undefeated throughout the whole competition and we’re going to the Commonwealth Games is just an achievement that is beyond words,” he told SUNsports.

Edwards said it was an incredible feeling to watch the players win not only for themselves and the team but for Fiji.

The Fijian men’s team beat Papua New Guinea by two sets to one, during their Commonwealth Games qualifier at the Korman Sporting Complex, in Port Vila, Vanuatu on Friday night.

While the women’s team wallop Solomon Islands by two straight sets.

“It says a lot about our players and of our team. We have been through so much together and here we are victorious.”

Edwards revealed that their team bond grew stronger with every game and made them become more united as a team.

“So it is that Fiji style family that goes a long way and oh yes it is a mission accomplished with stars and gold,” he said.

Fijian beach volleyball player Inia Korowale thanked God, their coaches, families and all the people of Fiji for their prayers and support.
