“We certainly are confident with each of them because they have strengths in certain areas,” O Connor said yesterday.

He said they are some very notable athletes in their ranks and who would be continuing what their team-mates had started during the first week of the Pacific Mini Games.

“There is the archery competition and there are our new archers along with Robert Elder who is a seasoned archer and has been performing really well.”

O’Connor said they would also be looking at the basketball players who would be participating in the newly introduced 3×3 format.

“So that will be interesting, they have a strong men and women’s teams, so we are hoping that they will be performing well.”

“We have a few good boxers in there as well and of course our Olympian Winston Hill who is still fresh out of Rio last year.”
