Fiji Sun Letter of the Week, Manoa Kaleca, received a Philips Daily Collection 1.251 Plastic Jar Blender as his prize.

The 42-year-old from Nakasi said: “I have been writing to the Letters to the Editor for the last two years and I never thought that I could win something just by raising my concerns.”

Mr Kaleca’s winning letter titled Road Upgrades was on the need for road users to be patient as the Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) subcontractors carry out their mandated road works.

“Everyone needs to be patient with our roads, follow the rules and do what we are told to do,” he said.

“When the road is completely finished then everybody in Fiji will benefit from it.

“I’m very concerned about road upgrades because many of us use it on a daily basis. I take my kids to school and go to work.”

Everyone, he said, should work together and help out in nation building.

He said his prize was a perfect Christmas gift for his wife and his six children.
