Team Fiji sprinter Shane Tuvusa has been ruled out of the Pacific Mini Games after he was injured during the 200metres race yesterday.

This was confirmed by Team Fiji athletics assistant coach Joseph Rodan Jnr.

“Tuvusa suffered a strained hamstring so he is basically out,” Rodan Jnr said.

This meant that Powell will be the lone Fijian finalist in the 200m final.

He is optimistic of Powell’s chances of winning the gold medal in the 200m finals today.

“We are expecting him to be running a lot more stronger,” he said.
