Former and current Adi Cakobau School athletes dedicated their collective achievements to all Fijians and their sisters at Sawani.

“We proved that even though we are young, we managed to overcome many challenges at the Pacific Mini Games,”Elenoa Sailosi said.

“We would like to dedicate all our medal wins to the people of Fiji and to our sisters and teachers in ACS.”

She thanked the old scholars and the whole ACS family for their support throughout their preparation for the four-yearly event.

Sailosi and Miriama Senokonoko graduated from the all-girls boarding school while Serenia Ragatu, Makereta Naulu and Elenani Tinai are currently students.

“The fact that we are all from the same school was a real boost, it really strengthened our bond as Sawani girls. You know when we leave the school we leave  with a higher expectations.

“We are all proud representing Team Fiji and the ACS family.”

Sailosi, Senokonoko, Ragatu and Naulu were part of the 4x100m relay team which won gold upsetting favorites Papua New Guinea with a time of 47.43 secs.

Senokonoko and Tinai won gold and silver in the 400m final.

In addition, Senokonoko also won silver in the women’s triple jump event.
