The Pearl Resort and Spa in Pacific Habour organised a two-day event for their workers children to understand their parents’ roles at the resort.

Pear Resort representative Tima Saraqio said the event was important as it showed children the different areas they worked in at the resort.

“We get to show them our various  roles at work and what we actually do at work, our career is challenging in terms of long hours and we need them to understand why,” she said.

Ms Saraqio said with about 250 employed at the resort, they had divided the visits into two days where the children get involved in various activities, site tours and enjoyed lunch with their parents.

“We have been organising this event every year, but this year we made it bigger because our resort family is growing,” she said.

The resort hosted the workers’ children yesterday and will host another children’s day tomorrow.
