Lale’s Fried Chicken chain of restaurants is collecting toys, food, money and any form of donation internally which they will put together and give to charitable organisations.

And the staff members of the restaurant in Nadi kick-started the annual programme this year.

The programme brings together staff members and management around Nadi and Lautoka to embark on the charitable initiative.

Managing Director Usman Ali said: “Our company’s philosophy is we try to do whatever we can for the people by contributing in what little way we can.

“We not only target the underprivileged but we go out there and see those who are in need.

“The staff members have already started going into communities and it is pleasing to see people’s response and having them appreciate what we have done for them, very heartwarming.

“We do not have a budget for this. It is done through the help of all the staff members and we visit homes just to share the love of Christmas to those who are underprivileged.”
