Court Defers Bulitavu, Karunaratne Case

Opposition Member of Parliament Mosese Bulitavu and former businessman Jagath Karunaratne’s ruling have been deferred to February 15, 2018.

It is alleged that Bulitavu and Karunaratne, who is Fiji United Freedom Party leader, with the seditious intention of bringing hatred against the Government  wrote on signboards between Nausori and Suva in 2011.

The duo appeared before Magistrate Deepika Prakash at the Suva Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

Magistrate Prakash said judgement was not ready yet and deferred the ruling date to February next year.

Karunaratne was represented by Lynda Tabuya and Bulitavu was represented by Barbara Malimali.

The state was represented by lawyer Lisiate Fotifili.
