How Woman Takes Advantage Of Specials To Buy School Stationery

While many were rushing to do their last minute shopping for Christmas in the pouring rain and taking advantage of the specials, it was different for Alumita Nacola.
Every year the Naitasiri woman, who lives in Suva, takes advantage of the specials and the rush before the New Year comes with new prices. There’s no telling what the price of stationery can be, she says so this is her routine year-in-year-out.
We caught up with her at Epworth House with her daughter.
“Christmas is a time to celebrate but I want to buy my children’s stationery first. The price for exercise books I am buying now will be cheaper compared to next year,” Ms Nacola said.
“I have been doing this every year. My children come first and other things come later.”
Epworth House Stationery sales representative, Eminoni Vanavana said people have been rushing to buy stationery.
“I have noticed that a lot of families have been rushing to buy stationery for their children and that’s a good thing,” Mr Vanavana said.
“Mostly they rush to do Christmas shopping but now they are changing. They are starting to realise the importance of education.”
Mr Vanavana said he was happy with this new trend.
