ATS resolution
Sovaia Pace, Sydney, Australia
The Air Terminal Services saga will only be resolved if workers meet with management in good faith without politicians and unionists hiding in the shadows pulling strings.
The politicians who are adding fuel to the fire are not going to be the unemployed ones dear brothers and sisters. You are being used by them. Think about your families.
Politicising the ATS strike
Sukha Singh, Labasa
The chairperson of the Air Terminal Services (ATS) Board said on FBC TV news that the strike by the ATS workers has been politicised by Lynda Tabuya, Felix Anthony, Dan Urai and other politicians by visiting the striking workers.
To me it looks like these unionists and politicians went to Nadi to genuinely support these workers.
It is always good to see people of opposing views in this country. Let’s see who wins.
UN interference
Amenatave Yaconisau, Delainavesi
It seems the United Nations General Assembly and other countries are interfering with the United States Foreign policy machinery of Congress, Cabinet, CIA and National Security Council, and so on.
The Palestinian Israeli conflict is ancient since David’s conflict with the Philistines (modern Palestine).
All countries have the sovereignty of making its own foreign policy and it must be respected, including that of the United States.
The President is the Chief Diplomat according to the United States constitution and such a constitutional role must prevail.
Wrong street spelling
Vili Yaranamua, Nadi
A week ago in Suva I was on my afternoon walk when I walked past Tuisowaqa road and something caught my eye – the spelling error of the street name. It was written as Tuisowaga.
The letter ‘g’ should be ‘q’ and they are pronounced differently in the iTaukei language.
To the authority concerned, please check your work first before putting up street signs.
