Tuilau Spends Christmas Eve Selling Produce

Sailasa Tuilau, 40, did not hesitate to sell his crops at the road side in Raiwaqa during the humid weather yesterday to earn a few more dollars for his family.
Mr Tuilau travelled from Nairawa, Namosi, with his wife and two children to sell dalo and various root crops.
He sells his produce in Raiwaqa every weekend, but he could not make it on Saturday because of the rainy weather conditions.
“We made an effort today for our Christmas shopping and with school to start in a few weeks we thought it was important to earn some extra money for school stationery,” Mr Tuilau said.
He said they hoped to complete their sales by 3pm yesterday and return to Namosi.
The Namosi farmer looked forward to return in good time next week to sell more crops for New Year’s Day.
