Areas In West To Experience Low, No Water Over Next Few Days

Residents living in parts of Nadi and Lautoka may experience low water pressures to no water over the next few days.

The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) has advised that disruptions were expected from last night until Saturday December 30.

In a statement, the WAF said the interruption in supply is due to the planned operations to recover the low water levels currently experienced at the Nagado Water Treatment Plant.

WAF will clear water reservoirs as a result of high turbid raw water from the Vaturu Dam.

The Authority has advised those living in these areas to store water and use water wisely.

Affected areas include:

Nagado, Togomasi, Malolo, Navo, Tunalia, Uciwai, Fiji Marriot Momi Bay Resort, Vaivai Kermode and Kashmir.

Water carts will be on standby to service the affected area as and when the need arises.
